Entwined

An arc in the blue.
Old paint like tarnished silver
With bronze leaves entwined

Beautiful sunny morning. I walk through this churchyard most mornings on my way to walk the dog, this is part of the archway over the wooden gate. It has a lantern on top of it. I am always struck by the love and care that has gone into making this simple, functional piece of metalwork. The bronze painted leaves really caught the sun this morning.

Third night of belly dance practice on the trot tonight .... I am tired just thinking about it .... this is who my lesson is with tonight ... I can only dream of dancing like her .... but she is a patient teacher and a lovely lovely person.
