A Difference of Emphasis?

Not quite sure what was going on here. I have recently been playing around in PS trying to mimic various film emulsions, one of my favourites is Platinum. Here I have, I think, successfully cracked the look of Wet Plate emulsion - it really adds something long forgotten to mono. The experiments continue...
