Light at the end of the tunnel

Another glorious day- not a cloud in the sky, frosty to start with then warming up so layers needed to be discarded. A morning doing domestic stuff then we did a big walk - along the beach (and it's a huge one), a stop for an al fresco lunch at Totally Roasted (it was rammed), on towards the marina at Pohara then back again. Everyone was out - cycling, paddling, even one man swimming, fishing, picnicking and plenty of climbers out in force - the extra with the crags was actually pretty busy. Most of the route is ocean on one side, dense bush covered crags on the other and a small road winding its way through in between. An ice cream was taken to help us get back.

We chatted to some climbers and they told us that there were glowworms in the Grove which is just down the road from us. I have just been out to investigate. Not a glimmer and it was pretty spooky for the Grove is all dense rocks and rainforesty palms. Pretty amazing sky though and it's cold again.

Thank you for all the support and advice re terrific (!) twos temper tanties. It seems you have to stay calm, offer lots of love, a few choices and don't give in. Tough when you have to be somewhere which involves the car but hopefully it's just a phase, one of many no doubt!
