This blip has extras.

Mr Pandammonium took up the concrete with my big crowbar, smashing the thicker bits with another piece of concrete or a dumpy paving block. Who needs a pickaxe?

There was a rubble layer under the concrete, containing large stones and bricks. One such brick looked like raspberry ripple.

Mr Pandammonium uncovered many ants. So many ants. Who knew there were yellow–orange ants? The black ants scurried off carrying something that I’m hoping weren’t eggs.

Mr Pandammonium also discovered what may be something as innocent as a previous owner’s or the concrete-layer’s mark, or what may be something more sinister. We’ll be digging for bones later.
