Fiddle Friends

The forecast for today was not encouraging. Luckily the rain blew in at lunchtime and out again in time for our afternoon activities. I walked to the excellent bike shop at the far end of Portobello where my bike tyre was repaired while I waited socially distanced in the street. Bikes are enjoying a bonanza during the pandemic I hope the boon continues into the winter months.
T headed to the Joppa “Bandstand” to meet up with her fellow fiddlers. This was the first time that this group had been able to play together since lockdown. They sounded very good too.
It was good to meet Blipper John Davey again, by chance, at this event and to learn about his excellent photo collaboration project that hopefully will appear in Porty later this summer
