Tree in a cage

Today we drove to Mudgee in the central NW of NSW. With stops, it was about a 4.5 hour journey. Mudgee is a major wine industry location and it was so beautiful to see the vines leafless, as are many of the trees. It's wintry, in ways impossible to experience in coastal Sydney. I'd feel restricted if I couldn't head out west from time to time.

You walk around Mudgee and you can feel its glorious past of wealthy pastoral through signs of civic pride and historic buildings. One of the most beautiful structures is the Church of St Mary of the Presentation, in the background of today's blip, which shows a leafless tree, restricted inside a fence (as if it's going anywhere).

Thanks for hosting 60plus. Stay well all.
