Warm and dry in the kitchen.

What rubbish weather today. It rained all morning then on and off for the rest of the day. The sun appeared only briefly around 6pm.

I spent the afternoon in the kitchen. Knocked out a couple of loaves. More importantly I went through all the veg in the store and fridge. Anything on it's last legs goes into chicken stock. Anything sub prime gets roasted with garlic and herbs then gets blitzed up with a couple of tins of tomatoes to make a 7 veg sauce - portioned up and frozen. That can then be used for bolognese sauce/curry/chilli/pasta. Its really versatile and nothing gets wasted. I wish I had known this years ago.
