Intrepid Hiker

Here is fearless Mabel out on Boston Common for a walk this blistering hot summer day.  She looks amazingly pleased, and not the slightest bit bothered by the 94 F temperature and the accompanying humidity.  Credit for this image goes to her Tuesday dog walker Matthew, who didn't look quite as fresh and carefree.  The moment he returned Mabel to us, I handed him an ice cold can of seltzer -- you'd have thought I'd given him a pirate's treasure chest!
