(210) Chain Walk

I drove out to Earlsferry today to do the chain walk for the first time in years. The chain walk is a route along the rocky shore to the west of Earlsferry that is much more of scramble/climb than a walk and which has to be done at low tide. There are eight stainless steel chains set into the rocks that are used to help traverse the various sections of the route, some vertical with up to 10 metres drop (or climb, depending on the direction you're travelling). Although I managed the route with relative ease it was a bit more challenging than I remember. Extra shots are views of some of the rock formations and a view from the cliff top path, looking out towards Elie, Earlsferry, the River Forth and East Lothian in the distance.
