Bus Pass busless walk

K & S leading our walk today, and we expected cool but mainly dry weather - not quite what we got.  Climbing the hill out of the village it started to drizzle.  Quite a lot of stiles to negotiate - they are no good for people like me with short legs - I fell off the first one!  Even harder to climb when you are laughing!  Walking across open ground we could see the rain heading towards us, and once or twice we got quite a soaking, but as soon as we donned kagoules the sun came out again and it was quite warm!  Lots of different terrain today - not easy for one of the group after the complete sole dropped off his boot!  The chimney in the "Chimney Field" is looking very unsafe now, with large cracks at one side, and the top is leaning over.  I had never realised until today that there was a tunnel underneath it.  Lunch orders to Gary the butcher, then we met in AuntieP's garden to eat our lunch items, rounded off with some of her wonderful scones and coffee.  Thank you again to P & B for your hospitality. Another good walk in great company.
