Emus

A pair of emus just outside the Volunteer Centre this morning.

The one with the bright blue neck is the female in breeding colour.  I think we can anticipate the rustle of tiny wings in the coming weeks.  Once she has laid her eggs, she's off and running.  The male does all the incubating and the raising of the new family.
