Taking off

I was down to the allotment this morning. Quite a few things were blown down by the wind on Monday.
Before that, I popped past Pitfour lake where I saw this heron taking off. I suspect the ducks were after him!
However, the “taking off” title also refers to the fact that when I went into the shop at Mintlaw, there were two young men, not together, without masks on. As one was buying cigarettes, I’m pretty sure he didn’t have asthma.
I stared at him and mouthed “Why no mask?” but he ignored me. ( no way was I going to say it out loud!!!)
Perhaps he couldn’t see my lips through my mask!!
I just don’t get it why some people object to wearing masks for the flimsiest of excuses!!
