Camping Lewis Pass Tops

We hiked up onto the Lewis Pass tops to camp for the night. It was a beautiful day, but rather windy. A lone frog called constantly, sadly for the frog, unanswered. One big advantage of camping on the tops is the absence of black flies (Simulidae, commonly called sandflies in New Zealand) which are troublesome at lower altitudes.
