Me Ship Runneth Over.

Had nothing but grief since I bought this yacht. Did get it for a song from an impoverished premiership footballer( he was only on £131K a week). First time I took the boat out, discovered there was no anchor on the end of the chain. Had to make do with a couple of breeze blocks and two old wire coathangers.
Then on the second occasion had a run in going round the Old Shelia Lighthouse with an empty oil tanker. That skipper clearly never heard of yield to the left, and me tub finished  up with some scratches along the flank. Well, to be honest ,they were ruddy great dents. Anyway , took the vessel down to the makers at Poole for repairs, including fixing the irritating rattles from the coffee cup holders by the steering wheel thingee.
Had a chat with the ganger at the boat yard. He said due to the pandemic, repairs may take several months but would also change the oil for an extra fiver.
In the end i left the ship,`Corona Escape` there and got the bus home. We agreed he would bring the boat up the river to Salisbury when ready, park up leaving the keys under the rollocks, by the bullocks, on the starboardport side, with the pointy end looking downstream.
As a thank you, I would leave a pony behind the bar at the Boathouse Inn for the crew on returning the ship to its home port.
