Make Every Day Memorable

Not The Most Ladylike Pose

Spoke to Kipsie again this morning to give her the final details of our planned trip to Scotland in September. As we intend to do some a lot of wildlife watching, Jorgie will be staying at home with her foster mum for a couple of weeks.

As it has been such a lovely day we also discussed an evening trip to see the beavers.

The journey took much longer than usual due to high volumes of traffic. Large horse boxes were heading to Bicton Arena, clogging up the narrow lanes, exasperating returning workers and tourists alike.

A kingfisher did a fly past to herald our arrival on the river bank and there were plenty of damselflies and birds to keep us entertained.
It was still hot at 8pm as we waited to see if the adult female would appear.
Soon after, we spotted her making her way downstream where she eventually climbed out to have a good scratch.
She is appearing later in the evening now so it was lucky she stopped in a relatively clear spot.
We followed her as she swam much further downstream until it was dimpsy (dusk)
Returning to the car, past the lodge, 3 kits were playing in the shallows but it was far to dark to get any images.
A great evening with great company
