Bahrain recorded 227 new cases, 1 fatality and 483 recoveries today

The contact tracing teams have tested 160,000 who have come in close contact with positive cases, of which 18,000 tested Covid-19 positive.  Bahrain has till date tested 817,608 people, which is 48pc of the population.  Also noted is that the country has set the target of 13,200 tests per day, adding that the laboratories are capable to do more tests, if needed.

Sending virtual Eid greetings to friends and family and performing prayers at home was the new normal for Bahrain’s citizens and residents yesterday.

Mexico recorded a new daily record of 8,458 new coronavirus cases on Friday bringing the total number of infections to 424,637.  Mexico reports at least 46,688 deaths with coronavirus, with only the US and Brazil recording higher numbers.
