Black...

……………….…Beauty



This elegant black swan was gliding slowly and gracefully amongst the yachts and pleasure crafts at the Motueka marina in the early evening light.

I’d actually stopped to capture another photo at the marina, but that can wait for another day as this lone swan caught my eye. All the other swans were in the tidal area across the road feeding with various other wading birds.  

I looked for the white heron featured in my blip two days ago, but there was no sign of him today. I really appreciate the continued gifts of stars and hearts as the white Kōtuku is certainly a special bird in NZ.
