Caledonian Gothic

Did this one this morning, after doing a feature picture for an article bigging up the NHS

The former Donaldson's School for the Deaf to the west of Edinburgh city centre.

The building designed by architect William Henry Playfair.

Queen Victoria is said to have been jealous of the landmark building, apparently stating that it outclassed some of her palaces.

The building was bought by a housing developer when the school moved to a purpose built site in Linlithgow but currently stands empty presumably awaiting an upturn in the economy.
