Lago di Sauseo

August 1st is Swiss National Day. We started the day with a walk with our friends up to a mountain hut to have brunch and a very relaxed morning. Our friends have taken over the guardianship of the mountain hut this summer and it was great to see them, as well as catch up with a few other friends we saw there. Later at the lake, we swam in the very, very cold lake. On the second dip, I managed to swim around the island with the two trees (see extra). What a magnificent place to be!
The rain came and cleared by evening, so we have enjoyed watching all the fires which were lit around 9 pm on the mountain tops. We can see at least 6 from our house. A good effort to those brave souls who have climbed those mountains to light those fires and will be coming down in the moonlight.
