Beauty In Decay

Flowers are a great subject for many fellow Blippers. I have entered a few myself.

Today’s entry is something of a twist as it shows a Peace Lily flower in the withering stage, hence the title for today.

The title comes from a book, which covers a wide variety of buildings which have been abandoned and left to decay.

In my professional career I have come across many, ranging from The Singer Sewing Machine Factory in Clydebank to Jute Mills in Dundee.

Others include churches, houses, farm steadings and hydro-electric power stations.

In some of these it was very much of taking your life into your own hands.
