Out

Bright when we got up, so headed to Gullane for a long walk along the beach. Cloud over Edinburgh was visible but we were lucky and had sun most of the time we wandered along the water’s edge and across the beautiful wavily-striped rocks.
First eating out since early March...a delicious lunch at the Bonnie Badger (roast cod, peas a la francais and chocolate fondant with cardamom ice cream, delicious!).
We decided to head to North Berwick for a look around afterwards...wandered through the town and down to the harbour where people were queueing at the lobster shack and around the ice cream vans, although by then there was a pretty stiff breeze and more cloud so you had to be hardy to be on the beach! Lovely to see the Bass Rock in the distance...
Stopped on the way home at a gallery and picked up some scones for later and had a cheeky freshly made Empire biscuit...so nostalgic!
Home and read some more of Wolf Hall and S and I planning what to do this week....surprising how many places are full or closed so not much choice!
In the evening had our delicious scones and watched Caitlin Moran’s How to Build a Girl which was pretty good.
Nice day....
