Our entire courgette crop

This, from three plants. Feed and water are not wanting, but sunshine is.

Good news however. Copper tape round pots is effective against slugs and snails, and more flowers are on the way. We might even get three more courgettes before the autumn.

The tape is self-adhesive, made by Esschert's Garden and probably available from garden centres. We found ours on eBay while self-isolating. It gives slugs and snails a toxic shock (chemical interaction with their slime) and ants don't like the smell. I can't speak for woodlice.
