MonoMonday: Pink Fir Apples

I was completely bereft of inspiration for today's Mono Monday challenge with its fir or fur title, but fortunately Cathy suggested that I feature some of the potatoes she has been growing in our veg patch during the lockdown. 

There are two varieties growing in the garden at the moment, but the ones in this shot are the Pink Fir Apples.  They are quite knobbly potatoes that grow in an elongated oval shape, this coupled with their pink colour, means that they look somewhat like your grandfather's thumbs.  If your grandfather had very knobby thumbs ....
