Titanic

This piece of street art beside the Titanic building. The sculpture is the form of a diving female figure mounted on a slender base, and takes its inspiration from the traditional female ship figureheads mounted on the prows of sailing ships. The figure represents "hope and positivity". Cast in bronze, "Titanica" is a life-size figure and weighs three-quarters of a ton. Wow.
Interesting how women represent hope and positivity historically. We all know why! Where would we be without them!
