Another exceedingly sunny day.
Dajon surprised me with a bag of pressies and decorated my locker with balloons.
In the evening we went out to Root for early birthday celebrations. I’ve been absolutely buzzing about it since we booked it, and actually I’ve been excited to go back since we first went a year and a half ago.
I definitely was not disappointed! We sat outside in the last of the evening sun, the wine was delicious, the food was incredible. The stand-out was the Korean fried peanut & sesame celeriac, we fought over the last piece of that. The secret dessert option was also amazing - warm plum & apple pastry with black currant ice cream (all fruits from the head chef’s garden). Such a lovely last meal of my 20s!
