What struck my fancy

End of the road

Since the time of the North Sea surge when metres of coast were lost to the sea in December 2013. This is at Happisburgh on the North Norfolk Coast.  I have blipped from here before but today I notice that a further chunk of road has gone making the edge look even more dramatic so it warranted a repeat showing. The structures below are previous attempts to devise sea defences to protect the coast, meeting, I fear, with indifferent success. In the UK double yellow lines at the roadside prohibit parking!

We also called at Horsey Gap home to a seal colony which seemed to be enjoying a midday siesta. Extra.
