Baden-Powell

Visited Brownsea Island today. this is the statue on the quay at Poole where you get the ferry to Brownsea. It has just been reopened by the National Trust and the only way you can visit at present is to get a combined ferry and entrance ticket with 3 hours on the island. All very civilised and Covid compliant, unlike the Wetherspoons pub we popped into on the quayside!
A lovely day walking round the island where we saw red squirrels and also some peacock chicks which I have never seen before, the extra is the stone to commemorate Baden Powell starting the scouts and first camp there in 1907.
None of the bird hides are open at present and no cafe or visitor centre, but the toilets were open!
Good views of the ferry going across from Sandbanks to Studland which looked very busy.
