The weather was marginally better today but not good.  We were down the valley after some shopping (unsuccessful) at Tannochside.

We thought we would have a coffee, but discovered that Gouldings were doing the Eat Out Help Out Scheme, where you get half price, and the government pays the rest to encourage us to support restaurants.

The scheme is in place for the month of August, on Mondays to Wednesdays.  Unfortunately Aberdeen is going to miss out as they have been closed down since they have a spike of Covid 19.  Too many people not socially distancing at pubs, it seems to be.

Gouldings  was very busy, but properly distanced and sanitised, and we had burgers and chips, very naughty but nice.  And then the HG had Sticky Toffee Pudding!  A great favourite of his, but too sweet for me.

Well, it all cost just £10, along with beverages, such a good deal.  And didn't need to make dinner when we got home.  Which was quite lucky as coming through Strathaven there was road workings and a long route had to be taken to get home.

Not a chance of a nice blip out of doors, but these are my freesias bought by Cali at the weekend, and really beautiful, both for sight and scent.
