Surprise puffins

The wind died down, but the morning was dull and chilly with a little drizzle. After a good breakfast, took down the wet tent, packed up, and travelled north. The road was completely new over a pass, wasn’t even marked on my 2017 map! Stayed dull, but we made a stop at a view point overlooking cliffs on the Tornes peninsular. Couldn’t believe our luck! Puffins covered the cliffs, was so lovely to stand quietly and observe their antics. Went to Húsavík, whale watching capital, decided to have dinner early. All restaurants are booked, as they have gone back to 2m social distancing rules here, since 31 July. Not many tourists, but not much space either. Decided to stay at the campsite there, not so nice, and only accepting 100 people now, normally more than 200.
Went to try new GeoSea thermal baths, my goodness what a treat, with the infinity view over the Fjord, sitting in 39 deg slightly salty water
