Rottneros Park

Today we drove to Lysvik to meet our good friends, Britta and Lennart, at the restaurant, Frykens Pärla. After lunch we drove to Rottneros Park, since Mr Dag has never visited it. I used to visit the park when Julian and Adrian were kids.
The flowers at the photo are linens. There is a factory in Arvika were they make the most beautiful materials and cloths in linen.

The Park
Rottneros Park is an unique sculpture park in Sunne, Värmland, with an exciting combination of formal park areas, natural parkland vistas and creative horticultural design. It is a place full of tales and stories, dreams and visions, all longing to be told.

Rottneros Mansion is "Ekeby" in Selma Lagerlöf’s Gösta Berling’s Saga, which is how it all began:

Svante Påhlson, a man of vision, designed a manor at Rottneros that could match Ekeby. That was in the middle of the 1950s; it is now our task to continue and develop the cultural heritage of the place, and communicate it with words and visions that are interesting for both the present and the future.

That is exactly what we do, through ecological cultivation and interesting horticultural designs, and by using innovative sculptural work as a feature in this historical environment.
