Devastation

This is what happens when a commercial forest is harvested. The hillside above Glen Massan will in time green over, and it is good to see the natural contours of the hill revealed, but right now it presents a dismal picture on a grey afternoon.

I love the colours of the birch trees - and whatever else is there - in the foreground!
