The Gibberd Garden - Harlow

LDC and I drove to Harlow today to meet our friends J and M. The weather forecast was for a dry day, so we were happy. We had planned a picnic to start and so we met at the town park, which is beautiful. We lay the blanket on the grass, opened all the Tupperware boxes, distributed drinks and then we made the same mistake again. Fellow Blipper Ruth will certainly understand! Well, we started to chat and we chatted away instead of eating, until, all of a sudden, the heavens opened and it poured! This was my first picnic under pouring rain! And I was able to appreciate the famous British way of “keep calm and carry on”! After that, when the sun had made another appearance, we all went to the Gibberd Garden, which is a lovely garden on the outskirts of Harlow. Plenty of photo opportunities! And a chance to dry too!

Hours later, when we arrived home and unpacked, we had to put the blanket on the line and it dripped away for a couple of hours and then spent the night on the airer. :-)
