The start of another day

We were contemplating how tired we were when the phone rang last night. It was Dad informing us that blood was pouring from the wound from the little op he had in the afternoon. What to do? We are no longer a couple of minutes away. We are 20 miles away.

We phoned 111 for advice, told Dad to get a towel and apply gentle pressure to the dressing of gauze and cling film... of course he was struggling to hear us or the 111 person...

Eventually paramedic arrived, yesterday became today and they decided to put a great big extra dressing and bandage on. They were very considerate and helpful.

So we got home very late/early and today has had extra little jobs contacting District nurses and visiting Dad. We have decided he will stay where we know the systems and he will move over in 2 or 3 days time...

I hope to find the bath towels and my Tanzanian tree photo tomorrow...
