Arran from Skipness

We felt the need of some sea air and decided to head to Kintyre overnight with our wee campervan.
It was really lovely to sit and watch the light fade on the shore after a nice long walk.
The A83 was closed due to a land slip but we made the trip via Tyndrum to Inveraray and returned by Western Ferries from Dunoon.
Too long a drive for an overnight but we did feel the benefit of some peaceful wild space.
Listening to the news tonight about the chaos caused by wild camping in the Highlands was upsetting - we were in a very quiet place , not a tourist hotspot , and still we found ourselves clearing up broken bottles and rubbish before we relaxed for the evening.
It's so easy to look after things and it's sad that people don't.
I liked the extra photo taken with flash after the light had faded - and one star just visible .
