A new champion,this is Millie the girl I have been coaching. This afternoon Millie ran in the 3000m, this was a Canterbury Championship Event,right from the gun Millie sat with the leader as they ran the seven and a half laps they started to put some distance on the other girls,Millie sat with the leader until 500 to go and then put the pressure on,with 400 to go and the bell Millie stepped it and was gone leaving the leader in her dust and with 100 to go and on the home straight in true championship style Millie stepped it up again to come home in a flying finish to become a new Canterbury U18 Womens 3000m Champion. Millie is originaly from Wales.
