Busy West Dorset roads.

Never the best part of a holiday, waking up to pack up but we had planned not to finish by just going home. The chalet owners were happy that we left the car there so long as they could clean and we were away before any new clients were due.

This meant that we were able to book lunch at the local pub and also do a walk along some footpaths prior to this.

It was another glorious day and we walked across beautiful fields and tracks including passing Slape Manor in who's grounds stands the original River Cottage.

We arrived early at the pub but sat in the garden looking at the hills and valleys around. The dogs were very thankful of the rest and sat peacefully under the table.

On the way back to the chalet we used the pictured path which had obviously been paved In the past, it must have been a busy road once!

Murphy and Willis have been great to have around and where we were the heat has been less so they have coped very well.

We have had a brilliant couple of days.
