Early Daffodils

The soleil d'or daffodils have been flowering for weeks, while most of the others have barely broken ground. They are such a cheery sight, but they run the risk of being flattened by late snow. I think they must be examples of those mentioned by Tom Cox in 21st Century Yokel as being “early tester daffodils sent out on suicide missions.”
