Waitomo Caves

With our borders closed there are no overseas tourists so attractions and restaurants are doing it hard.  A friend's son in law is a chef at a Waitomo restaurant and with the lack of diners his job is in jeopardy so we had lunch there today to help fill the coffers then wandered down the road to see how busy the caves were. The car park was just about empty and a tour leaving for the caves had just a handful of people. :-((
