The Old Forge (Sunday 9th August 2020)

In the early evenings recently I am often visited by a pair of collared doves. I see them from the study window perched near to each other on a couple of the branches of my maple. A couple of years ago there were a couple of fledglings.
This morning when I drew back the bathroom curtains I saw this juvenile fly into an alder. It sat there for awhile, obscured by leaves.
I tried three lenses before I found the right one to frame and focus through the top of the window and never got a clear view, but it was a pleasure to discover another young one in the woodland garden.

So much sharper resolution in Large (Gallery) view

(P.S. On Tuesday I saw several collared doves in the woodland garden, of which 2 or 3 seemed to be juveniles)

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Soft Boys - Let Me Roll It (2001)
Soft Boys: Robyn Hitchcock (vcl, gtr), Kimberley Rew (gtr), Matthew Seligman (bass), Morris Windsor (dr, perc)
Robyn Hitchcock reunited with his former band, the Soft Boys, for awhile at this time and they contributed this cover for a compilation called Listen To What The Man Said, a tribute to Paul McCartney.
Wings had recorded this for their album Band On The Run in 1973, and it was also on a single with Jet. Paul  McCartney played everything on the record apart from Linda McCartney (keyboards) and Denny Laine (second guitar).
I have now reached November 2013 in my catch-up of Mojo reading, and played this on the cover CD Songs In The Key Of Paul.
