The polite Flemish word for (meat) balls...

500 gms minced pork & beef
one egg to bind
medium onion finely chopped
handful of raisins
handful of capers
an outrageous amount of crushed garlic
1/4 tsp garam masala
generous pinches of salt, black pepper & chilli

Scrunch it all up thoroughly & make ballekes!

Fry them fairly hot until decently brown & flip to brown the other side. They're very good - but they'll be even better tomorrow when the spices have all got to know each other!
