Mono-Monday: Stationary

Many thanks to Chantler63 for hosting Mono Monday for the month of August.  I am grateful for the theme which fit the bill for this dragonfly captured on an early morning outing today. It converted nicely to black and white.

We have been thinking about buying me a new car for a while as both our cars are getting quite old.  We went out Friday evening to test drive a few but not intending to buy, but of course, we came home with a new car. Those sales people are masterful.   We had to go back on Saturday for one of the 'Specialists" to show us how everything works.  I am pretty tech-savvy, and it still took two hours to show us all the electronic features.  My husband glazed over in 15 minutes. There are so many great features, but my favorite is having ApplePlay.  There is a cordless charger for the phone AND....we can make the car a wifi hotspot through AT&T.  I see no need to do that now, but it might be a good feature to have on a long road trip.

Through this whole process, we wore masks (as did the salespeople) and when we were indoors we were in very high ceilinged showrooms so we felt fairly safe.  During the two hours in the car with the "Specialist", we had the sunroof and windows open and ran the AC and fan, but I still felt a bit uneasy and was glad when it was over.
