Lobed leaves of the Birch of Pirkkala

I closed my work laptop 40 days ago and today was time to open it and start work after very enjoyable summer vacation. In the evening I had a walk with Peetu while hubby took care of grocery shopping.

In the picture are leaves of the Birch of Pirkkala. In 1862 this special variety of birch (Betula pendula f. bircalensis) was found in Pirkkala by scientists as a new subspecies.

+21°C, sunny
