Summer Fields

I lead several of my walking team on a very enjoyable 3 hour walk this morning, mostly across nearby agricultural land but also into Bramfield Wood for some shade.

Several of the fields were packed full of colourful flowers, I think as a soil improvement crop, which were very pretty.

Clockwise from the top:
Wild radish, Raphanus raphanistrum (white)
Linseed or Common flax, Linum usitatissimum
Pineapple mayweed or Disc mayweed, Matricaria discoidea
Buckwheat, Fagopyrum esculentum Moench
Fiddleneck, Phacelia tenacetifolia
Wild radish (again, but mauve)
