Da Hills are Alive with da Colour Purple

A lovely warm day, cloudy first thing, but cleared into a mostly sunny day.  Flat calm in Cunningsburgh, but a gale blowing in Scalloway.

Another day working in the museum.  It's been a fairly quiet day.  Popped down to mam's this evening.  Feet up now.  Some schools went back.  Some parents happy, some concerned.  There has been another Coronavirus case for NHS Shetland, this time actually in the isles.  Not good, but fingers crossed they have been self isolating, and has been contained.

Before a cuppa, me, mam and bro Jonny headed out for a walk.  We headed off the beaten track, and up into the hills.  The hills are full of wonderful smells of the wild heather, and also the stunning colourful flower displays.  The hills throughout Shetland are much the same, covered in a purple bloom.  Taken at the Scoo, looking down on the New Houses, Cunningsburgh.
