Goose Gala

Well, Day 11 of the PNW AOG found Team Canada Goose practicing for their Gala which will be at the end of the games.  If you follow the human winter Olympics you are familiar with the skating gala that occurs after all the competitions are finished.  Goose Galas are something to behold with the entire team participating in group displays.  One of the audience favorite events is the Preening event which always draws a full crowd.

Here we have Team Captain Gloria Ganderbilt performing a perfect Reverse Neck Twist.  The crowd went wild at her fluid demonstration of one of the premier preening moves.  Her Reverse Head Thrust and Bent Neck Chest Puff caused a spectator in the front row to faint.  See Extra for some of her more sophisticated poses, each a work of art.  Preening competitions are not yet part of the actual games but rumor has it that the AOG Committee is discussing adding them to next year's competition.
