Dad's first car

While doing some much needed "putting away of paperwork into the correct place" I came across some old documents of my fathers. He kept all his purchase papers of the cars he had and this is the first one he bought. Note the date 1959 and the purchase price. I was almost 1 then. I remember him telling me we went to Cornwall in it once (which back then, from London was about the same as going to the moon.)
I have found a picture of the Bond "minicar" so you can see what it looked like.
This model had a top speed of 55 miles per hour so I expect we got there in about 2 weeks.
His driving licence is also shown here. How things have changed.
I expect Dad is smiling at this somewhere now.
