Anniversary roses

Today marks our 26th wedding anniversary. It was hot and sticky all day. Not the best night fir sleeping with the thunder and lightning crashing fir a few hours last night - no damage by us but feeling bad for anyone impacted by floods or worse. The derailment near Stonehaven has been such dreadful news - my heart goes out to the families who have lost someone today.

Woke early and got up to take Miss PHL to her friends before they headed off camping - I continued into town to find a frame shop to have my great nephew’s cross stitch frAmes. Finally found one that was open and could have the job done quickly. Home via the supermarket to discover Miss PHK and her friends had called at the house to collect our tent. There had been confusion over who was bringing one and I’m just glad we had one in the cupboard.

Relaxed in the afternoon before getting ready to head to our favourite curry house for dinner. So nice to see the owner and have a chat. We’ve been going for so long he feels like family. Delicious dinner and time to relax before heading for bed.
