St John the Baptist’s

This is the old St John the Baptist’s church in Greatham, which we happened to pass on our way back from a meal at the Temple Inn, Liss Forest, this evening. The church dates back to the 13th century and was abandoned in 1875 when they built a big, new church over the road. Bigger isn’t necessarily better, though!

Well, the thunder storm we had this afternoon hasn’t cooled things down one bit, so it’s another night with the fan on.
