Cards On Deck

On the boat again. This time with Mrs Tuttle and Em for a couple of nights. Forecast is looking very good. We almost baked ourselves in the heat in Chester as we had to fulfil a few little jobs and shopping bits while Tuttle went to a pre-booked swimming session. I took the opportunity to take some street photography shots, with one gut in particular: a Harry Potter fan with a distinctive tattoo on his neck, who also turns out to be rather fond of the dark side of the force (a closer look at the tattoo on his right hand will demonstrate this). See the extras. Taylor, Not Swift was not impressed as we walked around the Roman city. A half an hour trip to the boat yard followed with the air con on full blast all the way.
I managed to finish off the back seat having remembered the 5mm drill bits I'd forgotten yesterday! The boat was like a boiler tank in the unbearable heat. Still the beds needed making, food away, clothes away plus sandwiches needed making for late lunch. Only (I, Sye Tuttle) forgot the ham and cheese and a fresh bottle of mayo for the tuna. I had a salad sandwich, which was a first.
Anyhow, suntan lotion on then away we sailed, to the Barbridge. We decided to head towards Chester, but stop at the Shady Oak, near Beeston Castle, for a change as we tend to always go up the Llangollen canal on our boat trips (one can hardly blame us as it is one of the most stunning canal routes in the country). Managed to see some cool dogs and many Cygnets on the way, which was nice.
Bring on the (hot) weekend.....
