Satisfaction

Tomorrow is my father in law's birthday. He is a fan of fruitcakes. I haven't made many fruitcakes, and certainly never had to line the inside and the outside of a tin. I had hoped to make a Christmas cake but had overestimated my multi tasking skills...but it did mean I had the brown paper ready and waiting.

Not sure how it tastes yet, but I think it looks good which is, apparently, the first bite.

And I don't like fruitcake, so whilst I care due to pride and making it for someone I don't have to like it!

For my next trick I have slow cooked some chinesey/thai style pork. Now that I do care about the taste. Think I've done enough today to deserve some new NCIS.
